Scott is the CEO of Pacific Carbon Trust. Initially, he was responsible for PCT’s governance structure and staffing; his focus now is to provide direction for PCT to become a leader in the BC carbon offset market, setting the standard for credible, high quality BC greenhouse gas offsets to help clients meet their carbon reduction goals and support the growth of BC’s low-carbon economy. Scott has extensive leadership and public sector experience. A former Assistant Deputy Minister for the BC Ministry of Education, Scott was instrumental in creating and implementing world-leading information management systems for use in BC schools and led the provincial Green Schools Strategy in response to growing concern over climate change.
JAMES TANSEY
James co-founded Offsetters in 2005, and currently sits as its President. James Tansey is the Executive Director of the Centre for Sustainability and Social Innovation and Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. He has taught on MBA, EMBA, Executive Education, MSc and Undergraduate programs in the UK and Canada. Research by Tansey covers a number of areas such as social impacts and acceptability of new technologies including stem cells and biobanks. He has written extensively on the role of public consultation in the governance of industrial societies, industrial ecology, scenario methods and climate change.

GLENN TAUBMAN
Glenn Taubman is a senior staff attorney with the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation (USA), which provides free legal assistance to workers subject to the abuses of compulsory unionism. For more than 25 years Mr. Taubman and the Foundation’s legal staff have been on the cutting edge of labor litigation in the United States. The Foundation’s legal staff has argued 14 cases before the Supreme Court, and Mr. Taubman has successfully argued dozens of cases before the federal courts and the National Labor Relations Board. His most recent victory was in the Dana Corporation case, which upheld the right of workers to demand a secret ballot election any time a union claims to have achieved majority support through the coercive “card check” process.
JOHN MORTIMER
John Mortimer is the leading expert in Canada on the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers regarding unionization and where Canadian employees sit vs. their counterparts in other countries. His background of having responsibility for US employees and work with US organizations gives him a hands-on North American perspective on unionization. His research work adds a world-wide dimension to his expertise.
John has been a self-employed management consultant since 1999, specializing in transitions, turn-arounds and maintaining or achieving union-free status in accordance with employee wishes.

Brian is the Principal of BroadGate Consulting and has extensive experience working with senior executives to shape organizational vision, define strategy and implement change. He specializes in strategic planning, strategic human resources, large scale change projects and executive coaching. During his time as a consultant he also worked with both the BC and Alberta governments on the implementation of the TILMA agreement with respect to labour mobility. Prior to consulting Brian was the founding CEO of the British Columbia Industry Training Authority (ITA) and prior to this, he held positions as a human resources executive at TransAlta Corporation and at TELUS leading large-scale change through HR strategic initiatives.

THE HONOURABLE STOCKWELL DAY
First elected in 1986, Mr. Day served in the Alberta Legislature for 14 years before being elected to the House of Commons in 2000 as Leader of the Official Opposition and later as the Official Opposition Critic for Foreign Affairs. Following the 2006 election, Mr. Day was appointed Minister of Public Safety and served as Minister of International Trade. In January 2010, he was named the President of the Treasury Board and continues to serve as Minister for the Asia Pacific Gateway.
Born in Barrie, Ontario, Mr. Day attended the University of Victoria and has lived in various regions of Canada. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Rotary Club. He and his wife, Valorie, have three sons.
