Merit is a proud participant in the gold seal program. The following courses, designed for management and supervisory staff, are gold seal accredited:
Contract Law (30 hours)
This three-day course will familiarize owners, managers, supervisors and project managers with construction contracts and contrat law; liabilities and responsibilities of all parties to a contract; compiling and submitting proper extras and claims; and ways and means for leaders to avoid conflict with contracts, owners, trades and labour. Gold Seal accredited with a value of 5 points.
Project Planning & Cost Control (30 hours)
This three-day course is designed to provide participants with a working knowledge of the process of planning a project from the beginning to end, utilizing ways and means of monitoring, saving, and controlling costs. Participants are expected to complete homework assignments and write an exam at the end of day 3. Gold Seal accredited with a value of 5 points.
