It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to succeed in the construction industry. That’s why every year, Merit is honoured to share the story of those who have shown outstanding performance over the past year in a number of different categories.
In total, eight apprenticeship awards are available, with four rewarded to apprentices in northern Alberta and four to apprentices in southern Alberta.
The Merit and Royal SunAlliance Employee of the Year award is given to a leader who demonstrates passion, readiness, enthusiasm and determination. This award is presented to one individual in northern Alberta and one in southern Alberta.
The Merit Member of Excellence is awarded to a Merit Alberta member company who is a trailblazer in their industry through exceptional employee culture, project participation, charitable work and community involvement.
The Career and Technology Studies (CTS) in Construction Award recognizes individual achievement, while partnering education with the construction industry. This award encourages Alberta high school students with interest in construction to excel in their studies so they can attain their goals.
